Good evening!
My name is Pierre Kemmers, born in 1980, I am a Dutch national and I work as a professional weather forecaster in marine and aviation services with the Royal Dutch Meteorological Institute (KNMI).I enjoy paving new ways, value continuously working on my personal and professional development, like getting further and contributing to innovation and love facing new challenges outside my domain. I am versatile, a quick learner with an inquiring and critical mind, motivated and cheerful. Click here for my curriculum vitae. When not at work, I enjoy going for a run or for a ride on my racing bicycle. It's a great way to use that energy and it helps me sorting my thoughts. In winter, instead of riding my bike, I'd rather go to the gym for a spinning class. Then there's the sailing! I learned to sail as a teenager on the Dutch lakes in dinghies and have spent several years as an instructor after that. Nowadays I enjoy sailing on yachts, either leisurely on overnight trips on the North Sea, or in racing competitions where I function as foredecker or navigator. In winter, I adore a week of ski holidays in the Alps. And of course, there's my fiancée Kiersten Weir, an Australian national and owner of Littlefrogs in Amsterdam. We will get married on Saturday 13th November 2010 on the Central Coast, New South Wales, Australia, which is only 66 days from today! |
